Introduction to Communication Course Description :
Explores the history and nature of human interaction
through speech. Includes such topics as the
communication process; verbal and nonverbal,
interpersonal, group and public communication
context; and the mass communication media. This
course also offers the opportunity to learn
significant theories of human communication such as
systems theory, symbolic interaction theory,
structural theory and critical theories. Be able to
understand, analyse, synthesise and evaluate
communication-related problems within and outside
